directed documentary LATINA, LATINA to receive its world premiere at Dublin International Film Festival
Adrian Duncan
Latina, Latina (84 mins, 2025)– a hybrid documentary on fascist-era architecture in Italy, directed by Adrian Duncan – will receive its world premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival at the IFI on the 25th February and its international premiere at CPH:DOX (Copenhagen) where it will show in competition.

An Irish geologist teaching in Italy gets a call from a Berlin hospital: her estranged father, whom she hasn't seen for over 30 years, is unconscious after a fall. As his next of kin, she is asked to come to Berlin. Over the course of a night in her father's Berlin apartment she learns from his diaries about a trip he took with a friend to Italy in the early 2000s to research fascist-era buildings and sculptures. It is a trip that ended in tragedy. Latina, Latina is a timely and moving hybrid-documentary that looks at a political ideology through the objects and buildings it left behind.
Adrian Duncan is an artist with a distinctive style, seamlessly blending images and sounds in a way that makes his work instantly recognizable. His approach is dreamlike, reminiscent of reading a Haruki Murakami novel on a porch in the shade, where time seems to fade. Despite addressing pressing themes, Duncan always does so through an artistic lens, avoiding conventional political rhetoric.
His latest work, Latina, Latina, meticulously shot and edited, further cements his reputation as a highly regarded artist.
